The Fast and Furious saga needs no introduction. From its first instalment in 2001 till the latest, the seventh in 2015, the movies have been shaking the box office; with Furious 7 being the most successful of the lot. And just when we thought that the Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel’s character) and his family members have parted ways and the story might have reached its closing stage, the lead actor unveiled a poster of the upcoming chapter. Dubbed as the ‘Fast 8’, the movie is set to hit the theatres by April 2017.Well that’s not all, it seems that the makers of the movie are in full throttle to get the 9th and the 10th to the floor too and another poster with their release dates have surfaced on the internet.
For now there are just dates for the 9th and the 10th part, but the preparations for Fast 8 are in full swing. Recently some cars from the movie’s four wheeled arsenal were spotted during transportation. The sighting of a truck with the ‘Universal Pictures’ logo underpins the fact that the cars were brought in for Fast 8.
The spotted speed monsters were a Local Motors Rally Fighter, a camouflage wrapped Lamborghini Murcielago, a heavily modified Subaru Impreza, an armoured Dodge Ram truck and a few beefed up SUVs in military green. Apart from these wheelers, there were a couple of Ripsaw tanks bearing the United States Army badge. These military machines are designed by Howe & Howe Technologies. Interestingly the arsenal was also joined by a golf cart; we have no clue where and on what is Dominic going to drive it on.
There is news that the crew is headed to the Nordic Island country of Iceland. The countrymen are in a treat to be visited by the film cast and crew but also will be a witness to the country’s biggest explosion that the team has planned in the movie. The Fast 8 is scheduled to be out in the theatres on 8 April 2017 and 9th April 2019 and 10th April 2021 are the dates planned for the 9th and the 10th instalment respectively.
